Hommocks Students Are Winners in LWV Women’s History Poster Contest

The Larchmont/Mamaroneck League of Women Voters is proud to announce the winners of the Women’s History Month Poster Contest for 2015. The judges had a very hard time selecting winners from the many impressive entries this year.

For the sixth grade, the winners are:

  • Tied for 4th place were Taylor Ruthazer, 6-3, and Tristan Lee, 6-3, for their posters on J.K. Rowling.
  • For 3rd place, Katie Lefever, 6-2, for her poster about Sacagawea.
  • For 2nd place, Mark Yukelis, 6-2, for his poster on Amalie Emmy Noether.
  • In 1st place is Juliette Nask, 6-3, for her Serena Williams poster.

For the seventh grade, the winners are:

  • In 4th place, Sophia Kenny, 7-1, for her Susan B. Anthony poster.
  • In 3rd place was Alexandra Short, 7-3, for her poster about Agatha Christie.
  • In 2nd place, Natalie Manley, 7-4, for her poster on Sheryl Sandberg.
  • In 1st place, Hannah Weinberger, 7-3, for her Amelia Earhart poster.

Our 8th grade winner is Anya Raikhovsky, 8-1, for her poster about Hypatia.
