School budget, bond, board vote is May 15: Essential info

On the Ballot: the Budget, Bond and Board

Voters will vote for or against the 2012-2013 budget for the Mamaroneck School District and a capital improvement bond. (See 2012-2013 for Budget and Bond Information on the district website. This year they also vote for three of four candidates running for three year terms on the Mamaroneck School Board. Where, When to Vote:

Registered voters cast ballots at the public elementary school in their respective neighborhoods (Central, Chatsworth Avenue, Mamaroneck Avenue or Murray Avenue).

Polls are open from 7 am to 9 pm.

Register By Thursday, May 10, 4 pm

To be eligible to register to vote, a resident must be at least 18 years old, be an American citizen and have lived in the district for at least 30 days. To vote in the upcoming election, an unregistered resident has until May 10, 4 pm to register in the District Clerk’s office at Mamaroneck High School, 1000 W. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.

Absentee Ballots available online or in the District Clerk’s Office

Ballots may be picked up at the District Clerk’s office until May 14 at 4 pm. If the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the last day to obtain an absentee ballot is May 8 by 4 pm.
