Brigid previously served Larchmont with distinction as a Trustee for more than four years. During that time she helped the Village achieve Bronze status under New York State’s Climate Smart Communities program, expanding access to funding opportunities for projects such as solar panels on select municipal buildings. She also advanced a Village road study to support a thoughtful, data-driven plan for repaving roads and improving sidewalks. As chair of the Traffic Commission, she helped secure grant funding to study road safety and support future infrastructure improvements.
A former Chair of the Village of Larchmont Democratic Committee, Brigid has long worked to strengthen local democratic participation and amplify community voices. She also brings more than 30 years of legal experience and passion for advocacy to her role as Board Director, General Counsel, and Director of Advocacy for the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance.
As Mayor, Brigid will focus on bringing in new revenue through grants and other sources, executing a multiyear plan to improve roads and sidewalks, expanding safe-streets initiatives for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, and supporting downtown revitalization that strengthens businesses and makes the Village center more vibrant. She also supports partnering with neighboring municipalities to expand shared services that reduce costs for residents.
As a testament to her distinguished record of service and success in collaborating with key actors at the local, county, state, and federal levels of government, she has received the endorsements of:
- Congressman George Latimer
- State Senator Shelley Mayer
- County Executive Ken Jenkins
- County Legislator Anant Nambiar
- Mamaroneck Town Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney
- Current and former Larchmont Mayors Sarah Bauer, Lorraine Walsh, Anne McAndrews, and Miriam Curnin
