I have resided in Larchmont/Mamaroneck for 24 years, my family’s roots intertwine deeply with the Mamaroneck School district. Each of our four children have attended Mamaroneck Schools, each leaving their unique mark. Currently, as a Mamaroneck Schools Board Trustee for the past three years, I seek reelection for another three, driven by a steadfast commitment to educational excellence and supporting the success of our new senior administration.

Why are you running for the Mamaroneck School Board?
I am running for reelection to the Mamaroneck School Board because I believe in the power of education to shape futures and communities. As a current trustee, my focus lies in overseeing the Superintendent’s performance, establishing a unified vision and goals for the district, and ensuring strategic alignment of resources and policies.
Over the past three years as a Mamaroneck School Board Trustee I have witnessed the complexities of public education, from addressing student academic and mental health needs to supporting our dedicated teachers and staff amidst an evolving educational landscape. With new leadership in our district, maintaining continuity and leveraging institutional knowledge are paramount.
Looking ahead, I am committed to building upon our successes by refining policies, prioritizing student well-being and belonging, enriching our curriculum with a focus on early phonics, literacy, and STEM, and addressing critical infrastructure needs. Additionally, the pressing issue of student mental health requires collaborative efforts with district stakeholders and external organizations to ensure adequate support and funding.
By fostering collaboration and focusing on these key areas, I aim to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of our district, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
What is the biggest issue facing our schools and how can you help address it?
My foremost goal is to advocate for every student so they feel supported and nurtured to achieve educational and personal aspirations and goals while supporting and empowering our educators. Diverse curriculum opportunities tailored to individual abilities and pathways are essential. We must ensure that our offerings deliver rigorous and enriching academic experiences, a mission led by our new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
In addition to addressing academic needs, we must expand extracurricular offerings to include activities such as sports, performing arts, music, and after-school clubs, providing opportunities for all students to engage and form connections with their peers.
I firmly believe that by collaborating closely between the Superintendent and School Board to refine our shared vision of “belonging,” this objective is within reach. Together, we can create an environment where every student feels valued and supported on their educational journey.
